New Batman AC is set to be out next year, mid year anyway.

Anyways just thought I'd go over a few of the basics......

1. Multiplay is rumoured a lot!

2. Co op to (As Catwomen)...

3. Quincy Sharp (AA Warden) has purchased a major strip of land in Gotham City. He has put up walls and chucked all the prisoners in there, and renames the area to Arkham City. There is one rule, don't attempt to escape or you will be killed. He wants them to tear eachother a part.

You think okay so they are all in a prison nice and safe.... wrong, Two-Face has captured Catwoman (needs to be recued, love interest in the game). Two, Hugo Strange (Bad guy) knows your identity and is willing to sell it to the villains in AC. So Batman needs to go in there.

4. If Co-op mode exists it will be after you play until you reach her, unless they add Robin. (But an asylum for his first mission, not really good impression i don't believe)

5. Arkham City is 4 to 5 times larger than AA

6. Story goes longer, and there isn't a repeat of just the one type of thug, there are various enemies.

7. Alfred talks to you instead of Oracle.

8. Instead of Joker maps you interrigate

Some random fool thought that they would add Nightwing WTF are they on, he is Robin at age 18-20ish.

Really? Batman wasn't a movie? Wow. News to me. NEVER have I seen a game based upon a movie or series of movies to be actually decent. They are churned out by cheap and nasty developers like clockwork not mentioning any names THQ to be bought up by people who associate the movie's good name with the game turning out to be good, which is never the case.

the game was very much based off the comic series worthless.. and these Batman games are actually quite good. Source: my own experience and Gamespots rating of 9.0.

Game based on a comic book character that happens to be in movies as well. I still need to get around to playing more than the first hour of Arkham Asylum. It just happen to be released at about the same time as the Nolan movies. If I'm not mistaken their was a movie tie in game that was cancelled for its crappiness.

Worthless :

The same GameSpot that takes bribes from game developers and fires writers when they don't talk up games they have been bribed with? Wouldn't trust them, but I bet the game probably has good reviews elsewhere. I'm just not one to play games that I see in the movies from many, many bad experiences.

Thats a pretty cynical view about movie games but pretty accurate. It's just that arkham asylum is not a movie game since it has nothing to do with any batman movie plot or use the same voice actors. Looking at metacritic Gamespot actually gave it a low score. But video game scores are so dumb since most reviewers seem to only use 70 and above so its hard to work out the good from the bad using scores on metacritic.

wow and u listen to wikipedia.....you have both the PICNIC virus and the ID-10-T virus.
Rumours aren't proven and really the game had good plot, almost crisis graphics, good engine and of course took it's ideas from the comics not the confounded movies!
the same rating for the GAME OF THE YEAR 2009:Batman Arkham Asylum, were equally across the board on almost every gaming magazine and website.
So get a life and stop aguing for the sake of 'i don't want this so why don't you go away?' and let people who enjoy gaming not just being right have fun.

Worthless :

Heaps of people don't quit as a result of the termination of a senior editor for no reason. Fact is, Batman had extensive advertisements on GameSpot at the time, and the senior editor flamed the game for the shitness that it was, he was sacked because the sheer amount of money GameSpot received from the company. People left over it because how can you trust a review site when they are easily influenced by money. I'd rather trust the sacked editor who said the game was shit. It was only rated GOTY by a single website who I have never even heard of.

let me just state that was one company and a just think it was because he wasn't the one allowed to put what he wanted there so he made up the money rumour.
AND THERE HAVE BEEN MANY SITES, you just read gossip so go back to fox 8 and wwatch your sh**ty gossip girl and secret life and leave me to enjoy my awesome game.
And others leaving wow, because that doesn't happen often in an econmy that is sinking a***hole

1. Zero is the only character that is not fairytale happy ever after bs.
2. The series captures more of the vampire essence than most vamp things.
3. Insest is wrong (Kaname Sempai + Yuki)
4. He is an ultimate super weapon emo vampire that hates vampires.

@16 I think you should double check what you write. Jeff Gertsman was rumoured to have been sacked over the Kane and Lynch games not Batman. Jeff gave the game 5/5 stars on the giant bomb website and was a strong contender for their game of the year. It recieved a few GOTY awards from some reputable organisations http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_Arkham_Asylum#Awards

Multiple 9's and 9.5's on the side there, also got multiple GOTY's.
Wasn't sacked over batman at all. So what your saying is he doesn't know anything and should shut it about his personal opinion and let the people who actually want this game to keep posting and get rid of the ones causing arguments:P
